Jumeirah Golf Estates is currently home to two DP World Tour venues. The Fire Course sits proudly as part of the JGE entity and isn’t to be missed.

As is commonplace in Dubai, the course has designed to be in sync with the natural tones and landscape of the desert. The terracotta ‘fiery’ bunkers provide a striking contrast between the pristine fairways and the immaculate putting surfaces.

The Fire Course is a welcome addition to a golfing experience and one which we feel will not be forgotten in a hurry.

The Golf Course

The Fire Course is a par-72 course that measures 7,480 yards from the championship tees. The course features wide fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and large undulating greens, which require golfers to use all of their skills to navigate the layout. The natural desert landscape is stunning, but ignore it at your peril, with many holes featuring rocky outcroppings, indigenous plants, and sand dunes all posing as hazards.

All holes on the layout are stunning, but the closing holes on the Fire Course are known for their dramatic beauty, with the final hole (a risk and reward par 5) offering a stunning view of the nearby clubhouse and surrounding landscape.

Facilities

In addition to the golf courses, the Jumeirah Golf Estates offers a wide range of facilities for visitors and residents. There is a state-of-the-art clubhouse, which features locker rooms, a pro shop, a restaurant and bar etc. Everything you would need for a wonderful golfing experience, or if you need to stock up on more balls.

The development also features a number of recreational facilities, including a fitness center, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and a children’s play area. For those looking for more relaxation and pampering, there is a luxury spa on site, which offers a wide range of treatments and services. The spa features private treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room, and a relaxation area.

Location

The Jumeirah Golf Estates is located in the southern part of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Specifically, it is situated in the neighborhood of Jebel Ali, near the border with the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The development is located just off the main Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, which provides easy access to other parts of Dubai and is a breeze to get to from the airport – approx 25 minutes by car from Dubai International Airport, and about 30 minutes from the famous Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa.
