The Montgomerie, Overview

Nestling in the Emirates Hills there lies a magnificent Golf Course, The Montgomerie Golf Club of Dubai.

This golfing gem was designed with the vision and creativity of Colin Montgomerie and Desmond
Muirhead. The Course has more than a passing acquaintance to Links courses that Montgomerie would have cut his ‘golfing teeth’ on as a child growing up on Scotland’s West Coast. This in conjunction with Muirhead’s extensive experience of course design, creates a distinct golfing experience which is not to be missed.

The Montgomerie extends to well over 210 acres , creating the perception of a ‘Links’ in the desert by the clever use of the terrain, the many bunkers and large testing greens. Along with the many creatively positioned lakes. It is a true test that the novice and the expert will find equally unforgettable.

The Golf Course

The course measures 7,308 yards from the championship tees and features a par of 72. The course is set against the backdrop of the Dubai skyline and features a variety of unique features that make it one of the most memorable golfing experiences in the region.

One of the standout features of The Montgomerie, Dubai is the way in which it incorporates water into the design. Water comes into play on no fewer than 11 holes, providing a challenge for even the most experienced golfers. The course also features wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and large undulating greens, which require precise shot-making and careful course management.

Some of the most memorable holes on the course include the 7th, which is a short par-3 that requires a tee shot over water to a green that is surrounded by bunkers. The 13th is another standout hole, with a green that is divided by a large water hazard, making it a challenging approach shot for golfers of all skill levels. The closing holes of the course are also a highlight, with the 17th being a stunning par-4 that features a tee shot over water to a narrow fairway, followed by a challenging approach shot to a green that is surrounded by water.

Facilities

In addition to the golf course, The Montgomerie, Dubai also features a range of world-class facilities and amenities. The clubhouse is a stunning structure that features a pro shop, locker rooms, and several restaurants and bars. There is also a state-of-the-art practice facility, which includes a driving range, short game area, and putting greens.

The Montgomerie Golf Club is located in the Emirates Hills neighborhood of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Specifically, it is situated in the area known as “The Address Montgomerie Dubai”, which is a luxury residential and commercial development that includes the golf course, clubhouse, and other amenities.

The golf course is easily accessible from other parts of Dubai, as it is located just off Sheikh Zayed Road, which is one of the main highways in the city. It is approximately a 30-minute drive from Dubai International Airport, and about 20 minutes from the popular Dubai Marina area.
