Emirates Golf Club: The Faldo Course

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

One of Dubai’s most photographed golf courses and the preeminent place for a round under the lights.

Originally named the Wadi Course, Arabic for ‘valley’, 6 time golf major winner, Nick Faldo was brought in to redesign the course. Upon its re-opening in 2006 it was named after the English golfing legend. The visuals of the course, along with the wide array of hole designs mean that this course is extremely playable and enjoyable for visitors from across the globe and members alike. The course features a unique mix of parkland and desert-style holes, with a number of elevated tees and greens that provide stunning views of the Dubai skyline. The course is known for its challenging layout, with narrow fairways, deep bunkers, and water hazards that require accuracy and strategic shot-making.

The ultra-powered LED lights mean that this course can be played well into the evening – a popular selection during the warmer months of the year and for those keen to avoid playing under the sun.
